Before teaming up with Larry in the couple's real estate venture in 2017, Jan was a Communications & Marketing professional for public, private, and media entities. That background has proven very beneficial for the team's real estate clients, as has her Masters in Public Affairs degree with a capstone in zoning, and over five years spent as the Communications Director for Buncombe County Schools. Jan has earned the SRES® designation as a REALTOR® trained to meet the special needs of maturing Americans when helping them buy and/or sell a home. She has also taken special training in meeting the needs of first time home buyers.

Viewers came to know and trust Larry's integrity, honesty, and work ethic, all of which are vital to our real estate clients who come to think of Larry and Jan as their trusted advisors. Larry is a federally recognized member of the Cherokee Nation. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years, and with Jan at his side has raised four children to adulthood. The Blunts have four grandchildren and two dogs, and love to travel when they aren't out introducing newcomers to the beauty of western NC.
